Dawlish station serves the town of Dawlish, Devon.  It sits right on the seafont, at the end of the famous Dawlish seawall.  As a result, it is often battered and damaged by large waves.


Dawlish has 2 platforms.  The main entrance is on Station Road, off Piermot Place.  Upon entering the concourse, the ticket counter is straight ahead, whilst access to the platforms is via stairs to the right. 

Step free access is available from the car park further up Station Road, and a self service ticket machine is provided here.

Passengers access the station on to Platform 2, access to Platform 1 is via a footbridge.  Step Free access to Platform 1 is via a barrow crossing, passengers must speak to station staff to cross the line, and this is only available during staffed periods.


There is a car park on Station Road.

Toilets are available on Platform 2, along with a waiting room.

There is an independently run cafe outside the main entrance.

A taxi rank is situtated on Station Road.

If boarding a GWR service to London Paddington, First Class coaches K and L will stop towards the uncovered end of the platforms.  Unreserved coaches E and F stop near the entrance from the car park.
