Ivybridge is a railway station on the outskirts of Ivybridge, Devon. Built primarily as a Park & Rail station for Plymouth, it lies on the very edge of the town, approximately 1 mile from the centre.

Layout Edit

Ivybridge had 2 platforms linked by a ramped footbridge.

The main entrance is accessed from the car park off Exeter Road, or via a footpath to Cole Lane. Passengers enter on to Platform 1. If using the step free access, passengers for Platform 2 must walk along the platform to their left to reach the footbridge, passengers from Cole Lane can gain direct access to the footbridge.

Facilities Edit

A large free car park is available.

There is a waiting room on both platforms.

There are no ticketing facilities; passengers must buy on the train, at their destination or interchange station.

Bus Connections and PlusBus Edit

There are bus connections from either the Park & Rail car park (including Rail Replacement Bus stops), or Cole Lane.

Ivybridge is not a PlusBus station.

Ivybridge is in the following Rover areas:

  • Devon Ranger/Devon Evening Ranger
  • Freedom of Devon and Cornwall
  • Freedom of the South West

Off peak restrictions in the Totnes direction start at 08.14; but 08.44 in the Plymouth direction.

Penalty Fares Edit

Ivybridge is not a Penalty Fare station

If boarding a GWR high speed train, only coaches A, B, C or D will be adjacent to the platform.
